About Us

Noviti comes from the West African Ewe Tribe. The meaning of Noviti is family tree, and its deeper interpretation is togetherness. ‘Noviti’ is also the name of Shon’s late mother.

Noviti Dancelife is the heart and brain child of our Head-Coach – an Afro-Latin dancer, choreographer, teacher and performer, Shon Mambo. Shon has been dancing since the age of 16. As child of West Africa, he was influenced at an early age by one of the most famous Ewe traditional rhythm and dance forms called, Agbadza. Agbadza is the official cultural "dance" of the Ewe or EƲE people located in the Southern Volta region of Ghana. The Ewe people in Benin and Togo also uses this rhythm and dance.

With his unique dance style steeped in African folklore, Shon revisited the traditional fundamentals of Latin-American Dances, including Salsa, Bachata and Rumba. The Noviti Dancelife studio reflects the Afro Latin passion for the art of dance and for helping others discover their inner dancer.

Our aim is a comprehensive and free form interpretation of dance and music. The focus lies on the fundamentals. Understanding the basic disciplines, students will move on to the develop a deeper appreciate for the feel for music and body movement.

Noviti Dancelife has a growing global footprint. The dance projects under the name of Noviti started in Cape Town, South Africa bringing together exceptional local and international professional- amateur dancers who met each other through the South African Salsa Community. The journey continues in Stuttgart, Germany with brought dancers from different dance and cultural backgrounds coming together in celebration of their shared passion. Join us.
